🎓 Academic Stages and Curriculum Overview

This page details the educational journey, divided into distinct stages, and the specific curricula, frameworks, and qualifications utilized at each level to ensure a comprehensive and globally recognized education.

1. Early Years Education (Ages 3–5)

This foundational stage focuses on holistic development through play-based learning, nurturing curiosity, social skills, and basic literacy and numeracy.

🍎 Stage Focus

  • Ages: Typically 3 to 5 years old (sometimes split into Nursery and Reception/KG).

  • Goal: Develop social-emotional, physical, communication, and cognitive readiness for formal schooling. Emphasis on learning through structured play and exploration.

2. Primary Education (Ages 5/6–11/12)

The primary stage is where core academic skills are established, ensuring proficiency in literacy, numeracy, and scientific inquiry.

📚 Stage Focus

  • Ages: Typically 5/6 to 11/12 (Grades 1–6 or P1–P7).

  • Goal: Build a strong foundation in core subjects, foster critical thinking, and introduce subject specialization (e.g., Science, History, Geography).

  • Assessment: Continuous formative assessment, standardized national or international checks at the end of the stage.

3. Secondary Education (Ages 12/13–18)

Secondary education is divided into two key phases: Lower Secondary (skills development and subject breadth) and Upper Secondary (specialization and qualifications for university entry).

📖 Lower Secondary (Ages 12/13–14/15)

  • Ages: Typically 12/13 to 14/15 (Grades 7–8/9 or S1–S3).

  • Goal: Broaden subject knowledge, develop independent study skills, and inform choices for advanced study.

📚 Upper Secondary (Ages 15/16–18)

  • Ages: Typically 15/16 to 18 (Grades 10–12 or S4–S6).

  • Goal: Deep subject specialization, achievement of globally recognized qualifications, and preparation for higher education.
